首都タシケントを拠点とするウズベキスタンナショナルチーム。同国の自転車競技は、1990年代にツール・ド・フランスのポイント賞を3度制し「タシケント・テラー」の異名をとったジャモリディン・アブドゥジャパロフの活躍に始まる、豊かな歴史を持つ。近年は次世代の育成に力を注いでおり、自国のUCIコンチネンタルチーム「7 Saber Uzbekistan」を通じた強化体制のもと、中央アジアのサイクリング強国として着実な成長を続けている。ツアー・オブ・ジャパン初参戦となる今大会には、将来を嘱望される若手選手たちが顔を揃えた。国際経験を積み重ねる新世代が、日本の舞台で世界へ向けた第一歩を踏み出す。

The Uzbekistan National Team carries a proud cycling heritage rooted in the legacy of Djamolidine Abdoujaparov — nicknamed "The Tashkent Terror" in tribute to his ferocious sprint style — who won the Tour de France points jersey three times in the 1990s and remains the only Asian rider to claim stage victories in all three Grand Tours. In recent years, Uzbekistan has invested heavily in developing the next generation of talent through its national UCI Continental team, 7 Saber Uzbekistan, steadily establishing itself as a rising force in Central Asian cycling. Making their Tour of Japan debut, the team fields a squad of young, ambitious riders eager to build international experience. This new generation steps onto the Japanese stage ready to make their mark on the world.
