Astemo 宇都宮ブリッツェン

Astemo宇都宮ブリッツェンは、栃木県宇都宮市を拠点にプロロードレースへの参戦、自転車を通じたスポーツ教育や安全への啓蒙活動、地域活性化活動などを行う日本初の地域密着型プロサイクルロードレースチームとして誕生。日本国内のUCI（国際自転車競技連合）公認ロードレースを主戦場として勝利を目指すことはもちろん、日本国内においてサイクルロードレースをプロスポーツとして認知、定着化させることを究極の目標に掲げている。 Asutemo宇都宮ブリッツェンがモデルケースとなり、地域密着型のプロロードレースチームが日本各地に設立され、プロロードレースチーム業界のメジャースポーツ化を目指し、様々な取り組みに挑んでいる。また、環境に優しく健康にもよいとされる自転車の持つ多様な側面を街づくりに活かすための社会貢献活動にも積極的に取り組み、自転車文化の醸成と普及にも力を注ぐ。 常に時代の一歩先を見据えて、様々な自転車業界の常識を覆す先進的で革新性に満ちた試みによって、ロードレースの未来を切り拓いていく。チームとしてはアジアNo.1を狙い、さらには地元宇都宮市で開催される世界のトッププロチームが集う「宇都宮ジャパンカップサイクルロードレース」での優勝を目指す。地域に根差し、地域の魅力をサイクルロードレースを通じて世界へ広げていく。
Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen was founded as Japan's first community-rooted professional road cycling team, based in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. The team competes in professional road racing while actively pursuing sports education, cycling safety awareness, and regional revitalization initiatives. Its primary competitive focus is UCI-sanctioned road races held within Japan, but its ultimate ambition extends beyond victories on the road — the team is committed to establishing professional road cycling as a recognized and enduring major sport in Japan.
With Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen serving as a model, the team is working to inspire the formation of similarly community-rooted professional road cycling teams across the country, driving a collective effort to elevate the sport to mainstream status. The team also engages actively in social contribution activities that harness cycling's diverse appeal — as an environmentally friendly and health-promoting mode of transport — to enrich urban life and foster a broader cycling culture throughout society.
Always looking one step ahead, the team pursues bold and innovative approaches that challenge conventional thinking in the cycling industry, forging a new path for the future of road racing. On the competitive stage, the team aims to become the number one team in Asia, with a particular focus on claiming victory at the Japan Cup Cycle Road Race in Utsunomiya — an event that draws the world's top professional teams.
