NTN presents 20th Tour of Japan Kyoto Stage

On Monday, 22nd May, Marcond stage Kyoto of NTN Presents 20th Tour of Japan after his solo attack in last 12 km and got the green jersey of its GC leader.  Atsushi OKA (UTSUNOMIYA BLITZEN) ranked the 4th as the best Japanese rider today again.  Sho HATSUYAMA (BRIDGESTONE ANCHOR CYCLING TEAM) will wear the red jersey as the leader of its Mountain’s classification in the 3rd stage Inabe tomorrow.

Marco CANOLA (NIPPO – VINI FANTINI) says “This is an important race for NIPPO.  I am very happy to win the race today.  I felt the moment to try to go in the uphill in the final lap and made a solo attack in the last 10km.  It was hard, but I am proud of being a part of the team and win the stage today.”

100156_04.jpgSho HATSUYAMA (BRIDGESTONE ANCHOR CYCLING TEAM) says “I was not supposed to do breakaway, but I naturally reacted and switched to do it.  Our sports director ordered me to get the red jersey of Mountain’s classification.  Our team goal was to win the stage today, but I am very happy to complete my mission.”
