Right from its creation this team made its presence felt at the heart of French racing. Last year, as a wild card entrant in the Tour de France, the team proved its mettle by making a showing in stage prizes. Also, among the members coming to Japan are Olympic pursuit team gold medalist Jean-Michel Monin, and a ten-day wearer of the maillot jaune in 1992, Pascal Lino. This team is the favorite to win the race.
